Acceptance testing for IT services firms and agencies
Spec2Sign is designed for IT services firms, web agencies and product teams that deliver projects to clients: AI writes the acceptance test book from the specification, the client's testers run it for free on computer or phone, defects arrive in Jira, Trello or Redmine, and the acceptance report is signed online.
The difficulties of acceptance testing on the provider side
- A book to produce for every project, often copied from a previous project and then adapted by hand.
- A specification that moves during development: the book has to follow, version after version.
- Testers who are not part of your team: the client's users, who have neither your tools nor the wish to learn new ones.
- Scattered feedback: Excel sent by email, screenshots in messaging apps, defects to re-enter in the team's ticket tracker.
- A report to write and have signed in order to invoice, which copies the acceptance results by hand.
How an acceptance round runs with Spec2Sign
- Upload the client's specification (PDF, Word, Excel, Markdown) or import the old book from TestRail, Xray, Zephyr, Squash TM or a spreadsheet.
- AI writes the book: quoted requirements, plan in batches and modules, test cases, test data, points to clarify. You review and adjust.
- Invite the client's testers and approvers: they run the cases from their phone or computer, with annotated photos or video as evidence.
- Track defects in a kanban, by sprint, with two-way synchronisation with Jira, Trello or Redmine.
- When the specification changes, import the new version: the impact analysis proposes the cases to add, modify or make obsolete.
- Have the report signed: calculated verdict, reservations, signatures of provider and client, timestamped PDF.
Roles: the client tests without paying for a licence
Only creators (those who write the book and run the acceptance round) take a paid seat. Testers, client approvers and readers are free and unlimited on paid plans.
| Role | What they do |
|---|---|
| Owner, administrator, creator | Paid seats: manage the organisation, create projects, launch AI generation, edit the book and manage campaigns. |
| Tester | Runs the test cases assigned to them and reports defects, without a paid seat. |
| Client approver | Tester on the client side who can also sign the acceptance report on the client's behalf. |
| Guest or reader | Follows progress (dashboards, book, defects) in read-only mode, possibly limited to certain batches. |
Several clients, several projects, no mixing
Each client has its own projects. A project's AI assistant only receives that project's data, limited to what the person's role allows them to see. The Pro plan allows an unlimited number of projects; the Team plan pools AI credits between five creators.
How much does it cost for an IT firm or an agency?

Frequently asked questions
Does the client have to pay to test?
No. Testers, client approvers and readers are free and unlimited on paid plans. Only your organisation's creators are billed.
Can we keep Jira for defect tracking?
Yes. Defects created in Spec2Sign are sent to Jira, Trello or Redmine, and status changes and comments come back within seconds (every 2 minutes for Redmine).
How do we reuse an existing book?
Upload the export of your old tool (TestRail, Xray, Zephyr, qTest, Squash TM, TestLink, Jira, Excel, CSV, JSON or XML): AI transposes the cases and defects, and you validate a preview before anything is saved.
